Dewey Saunders and Ed Christof Craft Vibes with Coffee Wave 2

Some art has undoubtedly stagnated, barely alive, kept on life support sitting motionless in display cases.

Dewey Saunders and Ed Christof offer something a little more vibrant; Coffee Wave is an organism pulsing with creative energy. Set up as a month long exhibit at the Win Win Coffee Bar in Philly, Coffee Wave 2 kicked off with a shindig this past Friday. The duo brought together music and physical art as symbiotic energizers.

The emphasis on that connection really gives Coffee Wave a creative edge. Sure galleries will more than often have music, but they’re usually uninteresting hodgepodges of sounds that sort of fit the exhibit’s mood. Coffee Wave has a meticulously curated mix, that you can stream below on mix cloud, or head over to Ed Christof’s site and download. It’s a collection of songs that really snaps in along the vibe of the physical pieces that are presented.

The collection, and the space the duo have created at Win Win, is a fast dip into a different world. It’s a cove hidden away from loud industrialism, pulling you over to a beach bonfire, where good art and free expression is passed around. The Coffee Wave serves as your holistic stimulus, with musical and artistic vibes that prepare you to face the rising sun. Artistic description aside, Dewey and Ed have done a really great job, and it’s worth swinging by with friends to enjoy some good art alongside good company.
