Luxury food paired with a luxury spirit
A special treat for New York City foodies has arrived. James Beard award-winning duo Chef Riad Nasr and Chef Lee Hanson of Frenchette and Le Rock kicked off the launch of Dewar’s French Cask Smooth. This is the latest expression of the brand’s blended Scotch. And to celebrate and embrace this new expression, a dinner series was launched called ‘Dinner a la Francaise.” This intimate dinner setup allowed guests to purchase seats and be immersed in delicious food while pairing it with some cocktails that featured the new Dewar’s expression.
For New Yorkers and tourists looking to partake in the experience themselves the series will be available to consumers on November 8th and November 15th, with tickets available on ExploreTock.com.
Ahead of the dinners to consumers, a special VIP tasting was hosted to experience and embrace this concept. And the dinner featured some very notable events including:
- Chef Riad and Lee who gave a welcome toast highlighting how at their restaurants they strive to break the mold of classic French fare and, like the team at Dewar’s, they are constantly searching for new and inventive ways to delight their guests.
- The chefs reminded guests to let go of the “New York minute” mantra and instead embrace the French way of life and “être” (to be) in the moment and share connections with those around them.
- Guests then enjoyed a 5 course menu highlighting all of Chef Riad and Chef Lee’s custom Dewar’s French Cask Smooth infused recipes with fabulous cocktails
