Demi Lovato started off the end of the week just right with a powerful speech for Global Citizen week during the collaborative event with Cadillac.
Inside the Cadillac House Thursday night, a hundred people crowded around the stage waiting to hear the multi-GRAMMY AWARD- nominated singer hit the stage.
The night was indeed all about music and social justice, a great way to start a very special Global Citizen event Saturday in Central Park.
The COO of Global Citizen thanked the artist as she explained that this time last year Demi Lovato took the Central Park stage and just 6 years later she traveled with the Global Citizen army to India. From there she has been a great supporter and visited Hamburg to spread awareness of mental Heath.
Before Demi Lovato sang some of her top hits like ‘Cool for the Summer’ and two songs from her newest album #TEllMEYOULOVEME coming out next week on September 29.
In between her songs she would take time to recognize why people in the audience are there. “It’s super important that we make a difference for this planet,” Lovato said. “Let’s make a change.”
Demi Lovato is a true advocate as she is also a huge champion for mental health as the COO of Global Citizen, Liza Henshaw, called her.
The night also awarded Social Entrepreneur Award Recipient, Josh Nesbit, founder of Medic Mobile for his way on using technology to help developing countries have access to health care.
If you haven’t already done so, it’s not to late next year be sure to sign up to become a Global Citizen. Making a difference start somewhere.
