On The Scene: Cult of Individuality 10 Year Celebration

Cult of Individuality celebrated ten years of success on July 23 at New York’s Stage 48. The celebration kicked off with DJ Nasty starting the party with all the latest and lots of tasty hors d’oeuvres. As soon as 9 p.m. hit, skater boy like models took the runway to show off the brands summer collection.

Very much a streetwear brand, Cult of Individuality’s new collection features (of course) lots of new denim featuring multiple pockets, run and rips from top to bottom, chains, and straps. While most of the pieces were black and white or either or, there were many small pops of color mixed in from multi color denim to tie-dye t-shirts. The new pieces remain true to the brand while incorporating new trends such as snakeskin and silver reflective apparel.

Singer Brytiago walked in the show. He recently released his “La Mentira Remix” Music Video featuring Rafa Pabón, Sech, Rauw Alejandro, Cazzu & Myke Towers.

The brands owner and creative director Ron Poisson gave a surprise performance after the show. No stranger to the stage, Poisson rocked out as many have seen him do with his band Fools for King’s.

At the end of the night, everyone went home with their own piece of Individuality. Follow @cultofindividuality to keep up with the brand and their upcoming lines.
