Crystal Waters Shines on the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar During Fashion Week

Fashion Week has the city pulsating with energy, marking one of the most exciting times in New York. While Fashion Night Out once brought the city together, the current Fashion Week draws fashion lovers, industry insiders, and creatives from across the globe to experience the shows, the designs, and the city’s unmistakable style pulse. Crystal Waters gave us a night to remember at Petite Disco. Her set took us back to when she first broke through with “Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)”, a sound that was never in a box, always her own. Now, with her new Harper’s Bazaar cover and the magazine throwing a party during Fashion Week, the love in the room was real. It was such a vibe, and you could feel the admiration for her in every corner.

The event was hosted by Nolé Marin and featured sponsored cocktails, making the vibe even more elevated and festive.

I came with my new tripod and mic, ready to work. Even though the RSVP list was packed and I couldn’t get up close, being tall gave me the angle I needed. I still captured moments for our socials and felt that energy when Crystal performed.

A personal highlight of the night was meeting Novi Brown. You might know her from BET’s Sistas (Wikipedia, Instagram). We had a beautiful exchange during our first meeting, and she truly sees the beauty in others, which is exactly what we all see in her. Novi is also in town for Fashion Week, which explains why she always looks so polished and camera-ready, she brings that same energy wherever she goes.

Crystal Waters’ performance, reminding us of when she was free and fearless, struck a chord. The energy in the room was electric, amplified by Harper’s Bazaar celebrating her cover with a party during Fashion Week. The magazine’s event was such a vibe, and you could truly feel the love and admiration for her in every corner of Petite Disco. Crystal Waters deserves all her flowers, and that night, she got them. Thank you, Harper’s Bazaar!

Swedish production duo ManyFew fuse modern club culture with old-school flavors, earning releases on Axtone, Musical Freedom, Selected, and Spinnin’ Records with support from Axwell, Chris Lake, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, and Rudimental. With 2M+ monthly listeners on their Electronic Heaven radio show, they’ve cemented their tastemaker status, earning BBC Radio 1 support and a Future 4 nod from Tomorrowland. Their Selected Records debut Out Of My Head with Jack Wins hit #1 on 1001 Tracklists’ Best New Songs Chart and racked up 20M+ Spotify streams. Riding high on their unstoppable momentum, Waters and ManyFew strike gold again with “Umm Bop”, a track primed for heavy club rotation and radio play. With more releases on the way, 2025 is shaping up to be a defining year for the dance music pioneer. Thank you for the invite I am happy that I attended.
