Comedic Actress Michelle Buteau Talks Joining Forces with Miss Vickie’s for ‘Stroke of Goodness’ Campaign

Miss Vickie’s, known for their crunchy kettle-cooked potato chips, had unveiled their ‘Stroke of Goodness’ campaign, encouraging consumers nationwide to submit their best artwork inspired by the brand’s signature eclectic illustrations seen on their packaging.

While Miss Vickie’s chips are available at various locations throughout North America and Europe, bags are still hard to come by for some fans including comedian and actress Michelle Buteau. Michelle will serve as a judge for the campaign, lending her keen eye for art to select the winning piece that’ll be displayed on a billboard.

“Miss Vickie’s is my favorite chip. I can’t tell you the amount of disappointment I had when I could never find it in stores. So, now that it will be available in grocery stores, on that shelf, I’m like ‘Kwanza done came early!’ because I don’t like a lot of stuff but the stuff I do like, I LOVE,” said Michelle.

Miss Vickie’s chips are void of artificial flavors and preservatives, making their unique flavors like Applewood Smoked BBQ, Honey Mustard, Jalapeno, Sour Cream Herb & Onion, and Sea Salt more enjoyable.

Amidst the partnership, Miss Vickie’s is expanding to major retailers across the country, including Amazon, Kroger, Sam’s Club, and Walmart.

We chatted with Michelle about what inspired her to partner with Miss Vickie’s for this special campaign.

“This is what it’s about. Whether it’s a chip that inspires some nostalgia or a memory… I remember eating chips with my grandma on her porch. The first time my kids were old enough to eat a potato chip without me worrying about it, [watching] their faces react to the flavors. Even introducing Miss Vickie’s to my European in-laws, who always have something to say about something, but they were very excited about Miss Vickie’s.”

Michelle also delved into her many jobs at Netflix including hosting season 6 of their social media competition series The Circle and her show Survival of the Thickest getting renewed for a season 2. Watch the full interview here.
