“Books of Blood” is a collaboration between esteemed director Brannon Braga and the veteran to all things spooky, author Clive Barker. The psychological thriller flick debuted this week as a part of Hulu’s October lineup.
Based on Barker’s book series of the same name, the anthology film follows three tales that become intertwined by wicked schemes. Haunted happenings trail a hitman, a retired nurse, psychologist, amateur ghost whisperer, hypersensitive teen, and everyone around them. The cast includes: Britt Robertson, Rafi Gavron, Anna Friel, Freda Foh Shen, Yul Vazquez, and Nicholas Campbell.
Books of Blood adds to Braga’s portfolio of beyond-Earth happenings. His credits include Salem and the Star Trek franchise.
Barker’s short stories, books, and screenwriting are responsible for Hellraiser, Candyman, and Underworld.
