Check Out Our Exclusive Clip of Aaron Sorkin on Directing “Molly’s Game”

Molly’s Game brings the thrilling valor of Olympic-level skier Molly Bloom and her elite poker game from the big screen to your home, just in time for National Women’s Month.

Bloom ran the high-stakes game for nearly a decade before being arrested by 17 FBI agents bearing automatic weaponry for alleged ties to the Russian mob. With minimal hope left, Bloom forms an alliance with her criminal defense lawyer, Charlie Jaffey, to prove her innocence. Jaffey quickly learns that there is much more to Bloom than the media projects in this exhilarating, adapted screenplay.

According to writer-director Aaron Sorkin, he was nervous that the high-end glamour of the poker ring and Bloom’s premier realm would overpower the true nature of the story. But after sitting down with Bloom, he was inspired by the raw, fearlessness of her unprecedented tale that he had to share her journey.

“I saw a story that was […] much more emotional, and that was about a unique movie heroine, that we hadn’t seen before,” said Sorkin in a recent interview with Universal Pictures.

The Academy Award-nominated film, starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba, will be available on digital on March 27th and on Blu-Ray, DVD, and on-demand on April 10th.
