The annual event celebrated 22nd Anniversary of Celebrity Fight Night Foundation.
The event hosted by Muhammad Ali on Saturday, April 9, in Phoenix, AZ, gathered the national athletic elite alongside some of the most renowned artists. The night kicked off by honoring seven time GRAMMY Award winner Carrie Underwood, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, businessman and philanthropist Dr. Francis Yeoh, businessman and musician Yank Barry, and the philanthropic Argyros family with the 2016 Muhammad Ali Celebrity Fight Night Awards.
Following the award presentation, the guests were treated to musical performances by The Tenors, Andy Kim, Quinton Aaron, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Carly Paoli, Yank Barry and Carrie Underwood – all under musical direction of the songwriter and producer, David Foster.
The black tie event also featured a cocktail reception, silent auction, elegant dinner and exciting live auction including one-of-a-kind luxury items.
Celebrity Fight Night XXII raised a total of $5 million benefiting the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, as well as several other charities. Each year a number celebrity guests attend the event that has raised $123 million in 22 years.
