Celebrating 1 year of Gastropub-fare at New York City’s Little Rebel

From their mouth-watering mac & cheese to their Roku-based cocktail, Little Rebel’s two-level bar and restaurant is a treat on the Lower East Side of Manhatten!

We dined on their charming 2nd-floor terrace that overlooked the bustling city street. Our server was extremely diligent and offered recommendations based on our tastes (she nailed them because we loved everything).

We started with the Charlie’s Angel and Chasing Waterfall cocktails each was a treat and acted as the perfect accompaniment to the small bites we ordered. These included the shishito peppers,  popcorn shrimp, truffle fries (can’t go wrong!), and tuna tartar.

As we enjoyed our bites and watched the sunset, it was time for the next cocktail. I ordered the frosé, which proved to be perfect for a summer evening such as that one.

We got the truffle mac & cheese, which was the perfect amount of cheesy goodness to end our meal. I would have loved to try the Rebel burger and fried chicken sandwich but after all the delicious bites we had we were full and satisfied, but those are on my list for next time.

Last but definitely not least, was the dessert, the banana spliff – a perfect combination of banana, chocolate, Nutella, and apple compote.

The prices were just right considering how much we ordered and drank, it was worth every penny. If you come for the weekend brunch, they have deals that you won’t want to miss.

The ambiance, food, and service were all exemplary and I’d recommend Little Rebel to anyone looking for a fun, vibrant place for a weekday dinner or a great weekend brunch with the girls!

Unleash the Little Rebel in you!
