Exclusive: Cast & Creators Talk New Hulu Thriller ‘The Sister’[Video]
How far would you go to keep a secret? Hulu’s latest four part mini series The Sister premieres on Friday January 22nd.
From creators Kate Harwood and Neil Cross, the story follows Nathan, played by Russell Tovey, as he scrambles to hide his chilling past. Nathan has never been able to forget the worst night of his life: a party that led to the sudden, shocking death of a young woman. Fast forward a decade later, he is now married to that woman’s sister Holly (Amrita Acharia).
Also joining the cast are Bob (Bertie Carvel), who plays an eccentric old acquaintance and knows the true story of that night as well as Jacki (Nina Toussaint-White), Holly’s best friend and lead detective on her sister’s disappearance. Originally appearing on ITV in the UK, the miniseries will debut exclusively on Hulu. For Amrita, she believes that the audience will have a varied reaction to the show given their own personal background.
“I think this story will resonate with different people depending on who they are. I think it will speak differently to people that are parents, sisters, brothers, lovers and husbands and wives or whether you have lost somebody..”
Check out the full interview as well as the trailer where Amrita, Russel and creators Kate and Neil discuss the ins and outs of making The Sister.
Academy Award nominee Sophie Okonedo is back on the small screen once again. While some may hold in recent memory her character in Ratched, she’s taken on something completely new in this series, Flack, which will be streaming soon on Amazon Prime Video.
