Campari Celebrates National Negroni Week With A Lux Charity Party

You can’t make a good Negroni without Campari

Last week was the 10th anniversary of National Negroni Week. And you can’t make a Negroni without Campari.  So in celebration of this week, Campari hosted an elegant and chic charity event at the Negroni headquarters in New York City.  And in attendance were some of New York City’s most influential tastemakers, shakers, and movers.  The event featured a wide variety of Negronis as well as some bites to pair with each sip.  The entire office was divided into different rooms where guests could sample exclusive Negroni cocktails dedicated to that room.  And to track each guest’s progress, a small passport was given where guests can get a stamp from each location.

At the event, Campari created cocktails that were inspired by the past, present, and future of the classic Negroni.  Using one-of-a-kind ingredients, with Campari as the heart of each drink, guests were able to enjoy some of the most innovative cocktails and Campari infused treats.  One of our favorites was a Campari infused cotton candy. To have such a sweet and boozy treat like cotton candy was a fan favorite.  As for the favorite cocktail of the night was a whimsical rendition of the negroni called the Disco Pineapple.  This is made with Campari, Cinzano Blanco Vermouth, Cinzano Prosecco, passionfruit, pineapple, and vanilla.  This drink not only bursts with a lovely sweetness, but was also light and airy with the prosecco making it so easy to come back to.

The celebration was elevated with Negronis mixed up by renowned bartenders including Chris Moore, Nick Bennett, Dale Degroff, Don Lee, Harrison Ginsberg, Julie Reiner, Linden Pride, Natasha David and Orland McCray, alongside Italian bites curated by Chef Michele Casadei Massari and Chef Marc Murphy.

At this event, Negroni welcomed in a new giving partner, Slow Food.  Slow Food is a global movement of local communities and activists across 16p countries that envision a world where food insecurity is a thing of the past.  And to commemorate the 10th anniversary of National Negroni Week, Campari donated a generous $100,000 to this cause.  Furthermore, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits added to this amount as well.
