Hulu rolled out a new psychological thriller movie, Books of Blood, this week. The October addition is a nod to Clive Barker’s book series of the same name. The cast Knockturnal for a preview of the frightening tales.
The film surrounds three stories that become intertwined. Like several horror flicks, audiences become enchanted by seemingly wholesome moments on screen. However, as Barker and director Brannon Braga remind us, nothing is ever as it seems. The characters are gradually thrown into horror scenarios—changing the lives of a hitman, a retired nurse, psychologist, amateur ghost whisperer, hypersensitive teen, and everyone around them.
The cast includes: Britt Robertson, Rafi Gavron, Anna Friel, Freda Foh Shen, Yul Vazquez, and Nicholas Campbell.
