The global K-pop phenomenons are in your area for a new immersive exhibit and shop.
From April 9-12, BLINKs can take a step inside BLACKPINK’s latest record-breaking EP, “DEADLINE.” Located in the heart of New York’s Financial District at 30 Wall Street, a new official pop-up shop invites fans into four unique zones with exclusive merch and installations.
Earlier this year, BLACKPINK wrapped up its “Deadline World Tour” in Hong Kong, completing a massive stadium run across the globe. In March, the band broke its four year album hiatus with “DEADLINE,” a high-energy project including electro-pop hits like “JUMP” and “GO.” The EP pulses through the venue as fans move through the exhibition.
Following similar activations in the past, the New York pop-up includes several exciting engagement opportunities. Firstly, visitors are welcomed into the Private Closet Zone. This section features four distinct style spaces that reflect the personal taste of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and JISOO. Fans can snap selfies with the different fashion zones and shop for pieces inspired by each member’s curated selections.
The Private Closet Zone allows fans to have a unique look inside BLACKPINK’s individual styles for each member.
Additionally, a standout moment comes in BLACKPINK’s BPPOPUP character zone, where members’ representative animals rock out in a miniature concert setup. The accompanying merch line includes adorable passports, plush keychains and more. Certainly, the area showcases a playful side of the group compared to the sleek designs throughout the rest of the pop-up.
The BPPOPP zone includes a character representative of each member, which can be purchased in a variety of styles.
Meanwhile, a gallery-style Accessory Space in the center presents a polished selection of premium bags, hats and apparel. New photocards of the members feature in various flip-books or standees. Here, guests can flip through the unseen pages or purchase cards to add to their collection. The refined area showcases the duality of BLACKPINK as the group approaches its 10-year anniversary this August.
Also, there are no shortage of vivid photo opportunities throughout the venue, including pieces pulled directly from BLACKPINK music videos. Attendees can dive straight into the newest title track, “GO,” with the music video’s official oars. The prop is a memorable visual motif of the era, representative of the members’ forward momentum.
Finally, make sure not to miss the interactive BLACKPINK wall as you leave. Fans can write a message for the group, the perfect way to leave your mark on the limited-time exhibit.
Fans can leave a mark on the “DEADLINE” pop-up with an interactive signing board towards the end of the exhibit.
Undeniably, BLACKPINK’s newest New York pop-up is a can’t miss event that gives BLINKs and casual fans alike a captivating look into the group’s new era.
