Beauty, Skin Care, And Healthy Lifestyle Brands Dominate At The NYC 2018 Consumer Discovery Show

The east coast leg of FounderMade’s Consumer Discovery Show, a convention showcasing up and coming small business brands, was held at Spring Studios in New York City on June 11th.

The 5th and 6th floors of the studio space were transformed into a Discovery Lounge and bazaar hosting over a hundred names in food, beauty, and wellness where potential product buyers, influencers, and investors could interact with brand representatives and discuss new innovations throughout each industry.

From international Korean beauty line Superface to U.S. based non-toxic nail care brand tenoverten, floor 6 of CDS was dedicated to unique up and coming cosmetics focused on being multi-purpose, organic, and zero-waste.  In addition to brand investment opportunities, attendees of the east coast Consumer Discovery Show sat in for panels and lectures featuring executives from QVC, Huda Beauty, and Marie Claire.

On the floor below, attendees could treat themselves to health foods made with six ingredients or less, “selfie cookies,” cold brew coffee brands from across the globe, kombucha, granola bars and low-fat ice creams, with the chance to purchase or invest in what they had taste-tested. Founders and representatives from Equinox, FreshDirect, and CVS Health were also featured in panels and discussion for the day.

From 8 am- 3 pm, events for the day also included an exclusive breakfast for merchandise buyers hosted by beauty and health Cannuka, 1-on-1 meetings between brands and retailers, and a keynote presentation by Beauty Evolution founder and makeup guru Bobbi Brown. Following the closing keynote was a reception sponsored by Giannuzzi Group LLC, ForceBrands, and Amanda Mintz Creative Management consultancy.

A Consumer Discovery Show will also be held this fall in Los Angeles, California. A schedule for the October 4th show has yet to be announced, but past west coast events for FounderMade have included brands such as Casper mattresses, Drybar, Ipsy and Starbucks.
