Handsome Ghost and Drowners Headline Baeble Music’s Bands+Brews Summer Sessions

Baeble Music’s Bands+Brews hosted yet another incredible music event this past Thursday the 11th, at the hippest place in NY featuring bands Handsome Ghost and Drowners.

What better way to enjoy the summer than with music, beer, friends and overall good vibes at one of the hippest places in Brooklyn? Baeble music has hosted summer sessions in which they invite artists to perform at Industry City, located in Brooklyn. This place has been renovated with yummy food stores, cool graffiti, and decorations which create an amazing atmosphere.

Once in, the performance space is open air, located between two buildings but made out to have a park vibe. Attendees have to opportunity to enjoy some cold drinks, brews and some food before, during and after the performances.

This evening’s performance began at 7:30 pm with Handsome Ghost. Now, if you know anything about this band, you know the unique sound and talent they have. Their music is inspired on Folk, R+B, EDM, Indie Pop, an unusual mix to think about yet singer of band Tim Noyes just makes it work. Their songs are very relaxing, put you in a good mood and they’re the best to listen to during the summer. They started with “Weight of it All” to which fans and attending were swinging and singing along.

The great thing about these summer sessions is not only that one can experience incredibly talented live bands, spend quality time with quality people, and of course, drink some delicious beer, but we also experience the sunset while all of this is taking place; and we enjoy the ‘golden hour’.

After an hour of performing their songs from album Steps and new song “Eyes Wide” they stepped off stage in order to welcome Drowners.

Drowners have a more fiery vibe, since their music is everything that a garage rock band should sound like. With a dark sky and little lights set up in the sky, the crowd began to dance to the band’s indie rock songs.

The band formed in New York almost 5 years ago when Welsh singer Matthew Hitt moved to New York. He recruited his band members and two and a half years ago, released their killer first album Drowners. They delighted their fans once again with their newly released album “On Desire”. Songs from both albums were played as they led to the end of this musical evening.

Attendees were able to meet and greet with the artists who were also enjoying some hang-out and beers with their friends! If you were not able to attend the event, or are bummed out you did not know about it, don’t you worry because both of these bands will be having concerts soon! Catch Handsome Ghost at Hammerstein, NY on September 23rd and Drowners at Terminal 5 on October 6th.
