We were invited backstage At The NVII Nomad VII by Anne Bowen Spring/Summer 2016 presentation at Tao Downtown.

Warren-Tricomi Salon presented the beauty look. Read our interviews below:

Makeup: Misty Chapman

What was the makeup concept for todays show?

The clothes are very warrior women so we decided to go with a smokey eye, defined brows there were extended, eye lashes that were added at the end for a little more drama, a contoured cheek with highlighting and a nude lip.

Which product was key for todays makeup look?

The most important product would be the shadow, making sure that it was a smoked out look because thats what she kept emphasizing to us.

Did the designer have a color story for the makeup team?

She wanted it to be black and gold but since black and gold doesn’t work for every model we had to tailor it a little bit for each model.

In your opinion, what is the most important skill to master as a makeup artist?

Skin and brows, because once those two are perfect then everything else kind of falls into place.

Hair: Edward Tricomi

What was the inspiration behind the S/S season hair?

Urban Modern, very easy going wavy hair.

How did you achieve the look for today’s show?

You use hairspray and twirl it around the iron to create beach waves in a sense.

Can you forecast a popular hairstyle for the coming season?

Well, I believe the hair done today will be in, it’s a simple process but gives you a very clean and versatile look.
