Backstage At Marissa Webb’s Spring/Summer 2016 Presentation With TRESemmé

It’s the first day of New York Fashion Week, and we had access backstage for TRESemmé’s first show of the week for Marissa Webb.

Jeanie Syfu, lead hairstylist of TRESemmé, talked us through the runway looks for this season’s collection for Marissa Webb:

What we’re creating today is a dual-textured side bun. We’re prepping the hair with the Perfectly Undone Sea Foam, rough drying it with our fingers to give it like a mattified tousled texture. We’re creating a deep side part and gelling the hairline on both sides, maintaining the texture through the crown and the back. We’re doing two looks, so describing the side-bun – pulling everything into a side-bun but we’re leaving an inch panel through the front, clipping it away, gelling the sides back maintaining the texture, pulling it into a side-bun, releasing the top section and teasing it forward and brushing it over to frame the face to a side sweep and then just tucking it behind the ear. The second is a half-up look, so it’s the same exact front but instead of pulling it into a side-bun we’re pulling it into a half-up look and fastening it.

We also had the chance to take a look around backstage for makeup and nails at Milk Studios:
