In celebration of the US Open, ASICS and Packer Shoes joined forces with Mitchell & Ness to create a limited edition collection featuring tennis-inspired sneakers, apparel, and accessories.
The brands came together to debut their new collection through a curated pop-up space at the iconic Grand Central Station in NYC, which they kicked off Monday, August 29. The launch event proved a success with good vibes, good drinks, and an even better music – spun by DJ Chase B.
One of my personal favorite pieces from the collection was the Packer x Mitchell & Ness Arthur Ashe Jacket, with its clean lines and fresh take on a classic silhouette.
Overall, of course the sneakers stole the show, with many of the guests already sporting their favorite pairs from the collection. The goal of this collection was to bridge the gap to the off-court tennis lifestyle aesthetic and I think it’s safe to say, it was well achieved, or as the trending collection hashtag read, #GameSetMatch.
