For some the thought of Global Warming is scary and inevitable, but what if there is a solution to combat the “inevitable”? Bloomberg Originals’ “An Optimist’s Guide to The Planet” with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau explores the amazing people all over the world making an effort to save the planet!

We were invited to a special screening of the first episode at the Modern Art Museum in New York. It was followed by a Q&A session with the talented Nikolaj Coster-Waldau who many of us know from his role as Jamie Lannister in the Game of Thrones and a reception with cocktails and light refreshments. Waldau says he believes climate change is undeniably a significant issue that demands our attention and action. However, when he came across a survey stating that half of individuals aged 18 to 25 are skeptical about the future due to their belief in an impending lack of one, he found it hard to accept that as reality.

The 6-episode series will take us on a global journey to countries including Greenland, Australia, United States, Japan, Vietnam and Kenya. Introducing us to people who are not just aware of the problem but are finding solutions. From carbon neutral jet fuel being created in the United States to the oceanographer creating cloud cover for the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the series will truly leave an optimistic and hopeful impact on its viewers.

Be sure to catch the series that premieres Thursday, February 8, 2024. Platforms you can watch it on include Apple TV, Roku, Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Rakuten TV, and Haystack News.
