Akon Partners With Royole to Launch 3D Virtual Mobile Theater

Royole has teamed up with Grammy Award nominated hip hop star Akon to launch their innovative Royole Moon foldable 3D Virtual Mobile Theater that comes with noise cancelling headphones. On September 15th during the Moon Festival, Akon along with Royole’s CEO Dr. Bill Liu introduced the virtual mobile theater and headphones at a press conference at New York City’s Rubin Museum.

Akon who has been named Royole’s Chief Creative Officer said about partnering with Royole, “I had a lot of opportunities where I could have been a part of certain things but I didn’t want to do them. When I was presented with this opportunity, I was with Bill in a hotel lobby, and before we decided at the time it was the Royole X model and I looked at it and I was like this is amazing. So I asked more questions, wanted to get more involved as far as what did it entail. I’m a movie buff myself, I love movies, I love games. So whatever it was I needed to be a part of what it was because as you know virtual reality is tomorrow’s future. Clearly I was like dude I want in, we’re not leaving until we can figure how I’m gonna get involved in this whole thing. I had went to China a few months before I met Bill and I saw the sheet LED thing, at the time I thought it was another company that did it, so I was searching to see who did this. Come to find out the person and company that actually created it and put it together was sitting there talking to me about the Royole. It just happened that destiny came together. So my goal at that point was let’s create the future world for here in the United States and let’s move together because we’re all thinking on the same lines as far as what we wanna bring and add a very unique experience for the user. “

The hip hop star has become an avid user of the mobile theater which recreate a giant 800 inch curved screen, features over 3000ppi AMOLED display and runs on an open operating system called Moon OS, which allows users the opportunity to install gaming and video apps of their choosing and doesn’t require specially taped content to operate when compared to other VR devices.

“I’ve seen a lot of virtual reality headsets, I’ve been presented with a lot of them and nothing came close to the sexiness of this. This is sexy, and I don’t leave without my Royale X in my bag. So it brings me the gratitude and happiness just to know this is something we’re gonna present to the US and blow it up to a whole another level and that’s gonna create great things and ideas around it that gives it the lifestyle that young millennials can take and gravitate to because this is what we’re actually doing great visuals combined with great sound and a lifestyle that actually deals with it,” Akon said.

In speaking with the Knockturnal, Akon stated “One of my favorites to watch on there is Avatar because it comes in full 3D mode and it comes in Imax 3D which we have the screen that actually flows into it and it’s just amazing. Of course I always listen to my records, I just feel like my music is the best although everybody hasn’t heard the new album yet. But I guarantee when they do hear it they will probably agree to it. But I love the aspect of being in the position of where I’m able to navigate between films, 3D films and music. It encloses you into your own private little world to be able to have that experience without any interruption.”

Akon was also recently involved with the film Bilal, in which when asked how he planned to incorporate Royole’s 3D virtual mobile theater into his future movie projects he told the Knockturnal, “I think any film that I work with will be set up to where it can be viewed exclusively on the Royole platform in a way to where China will have full access to all the stuff we’re doing and here in the US of course everyone has choices to watch what they wanna watch but we want to be able to set it up where they get the highest quality viewership and I think with the Royole headset that will do that for them,” Akon shared.

The Royole Moon 3D Mobile Theater will be available online for purchase via Royole’s website starting September 23rd and will cost $799.99.
