AFROPUNK Brooklyn Festival Lineup is Here, And It Looks Amazing

At the annual celebration, we will see names such as Erykah Badu, Tyler, the Creator, Miguel and more.

As usual, the 2018 AFROPUNK Festival will be held in Commodore Barry Park in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene. Scheduled for August 25-26, the world’s most inclusive and diverse festival will see headliners such as Erykah Badu, Tyler, the Creator, Miguel and Janelle Monae.

Also performing will be The Internet, Twin Shadow, Ibeyi, H.E.R., Daniel Caesar, Lolawolf, Jaden Smith, Willow Smith, Trash Talk, The Fever 333, Denzel Curry, Smino, Jamila Woods, Jessie Reyes and many more to be announced.

As has become custom of it, AFROPUNK has created a theme for this year’s festivals: The People Resist, a message that brings together AFROPUNK ideology and the people who support it, in resistance to those that strive to oppress.

For the fans of AFROPUNK’s shopping experience, this year returns The SpinThrift Market, which showcases the best of the AFROPUNK maker community. 90+ DIY-minded craft vendors who sell an array of one-of-a-kind jewelry, natural beauty products, apparel, housewares, books, prints, and more. First selections for the SpinThrift Market include BLK MKT Vintage, Wrap Life, STUZO CLOTHING, Fanta Celah International, ReformedSchool, SHAKALULU and Afrodesiac Worldwide.
