If you’ve been skipping on workouts or dropping some of your healthy habits like we have, fear not. It’s also never too late to get started on establishing healthy routines and that means, for a lot of people, starting to exercise on a daily basis.
1. Blogilates
Cassey Ho’s Blogilates and Pop Pilates videos make her a household name for anybody who has taken a peek at YouTube at-home fitness videos. Cassey’s blog tackles healthy food choices as well as providing tips for newcomers. Her videos, which she posts weekly, specialize in targeted exercises focused on one part of the body, like abs or legs, and usually require no equipment but a mat. Prepare to be amazed at how cheery someone can be while working out so hard, and explaining her moves.
Look for: Blogilates often features challenges which can be super encouraging because of the large online community, Cassey sometimes includes a diet plan with some of these challenges, as well as supplying a schedule of her video workouts to follow.
2. Fitness Blender
Look For: The customization of the videos is incredibly useful. You can search for a video by length, equipment required (no equipment is of course an option), difficulty, and targeted areas.
3. Sweat the Style
Model and Sweat the Style founder Adrianne Ho has been lucky enough to work out all over the world, and her lifestyle blog highlights these with workout routines accompanied by stunning photos. Her posts surround her style, natural products and clean eating, and fitness. Unfortunately, she does not post routines very regularly, but look back through the Fitness archives and find some hidden gems that will have your abs burning.
Look For: Each of her fitness posts include links to gifs of Adrianne doing each move (like burpees, and mountain climbers), which is incredibly helpful for anybody who is just starting out.
4. Fitness on Toast
Faya Nilsson began her lifestyle blog Fitness on Toast in order to share tips with her clients. Faya’s posts revolve around healthy food, fitness, and products she swears by. Her fitness posts include plenty of photos demonstrating each exercise. You may also envy her workout clothes, but, lucky for you, Faya always includes where to get each piece.
Look For: FOT features tons of tips on how to create a fitness routine for yourself, as well as tips on eating healthy and recipes for Faya’s own daily breakfast.
5. 12 Minute Athlete
Look For: The blog includes instructions on how to master some of the more difficult exercises, like a pull up or a plank jack, in short incremental exercises.
