The 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards Celebration!

SANTA MONICA, CA - MARCH 3: A general view of atmosphere at the IFC Films Independent Spirit Awards After Party presented by MovieGrade App, Hendricks Gin and Kona Brewing Company on March 3, 2018 in Santa Monica, California.

The only thing better than glamorous red carpets and award shows highlighting the talent of Hollywood royalty is the after parties with our favorite celebs breaking it down and having a good time!

IFC Films and Sundance Selects hosted a party at 41 Ocean Club in Santa Monica, CA following the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards to celebrate their Independent Spirit Award-nominated films and their 2018 film slate. Nominees include Jonas Carpignano as Best Director for the film A Ciambra and Jeff Unay for the Truer Than Fiction Award for the film The Cage Fighter. The 2018 IFC film slate includes The Cage Fighter, A Ciambra, Let the Sunshine In, The Cured, Love After Love, Lowlife, The Death of Stalin, Mary Shelley, Eating Animals, Midnighters, Our House, Far From the Tree, The Female Brain, Pick of the Litter, Furlough, Pyewacket, Ghost Stories, That Summer, The House That Jack Built, A Kid Like Jake, Wildlife, and Wildling.

Between the all you can eat popcorn provided by MovieGrade App, cocktails made to perfection consisting of Hendrick’s Gin and Kona Brewing Company, scrumptious hors-d’oeuvres, Santa Monica beach views and the amazing guest list, I don’t know what could have made the event any better! Guests included Melanie Lynskey, Jason Ritter, Catherine Hardwicke, Amy Berg and many others although Nev Schulman’s two-year-old daughter might have stolen the show. The overall theme of the night was unity, positivity, and camaraderie. Another successful IFC Films celebration!
