What a starry U.S. Open it has been!
America’s favorite hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, New York is considered the best Grand Slam of the year. It is no wonder that sports fans and celebrities alike come out to USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for a few weeks of the beloved sport.
Days have been filled with incredible moments full of spirited fun. Maestro Dobel Tequila is the official tequila sponsor. New at this year’s games is the fantastic Dobel Tequila Club, a hospitality experience on the west side of Fountain Plaza.
Here attendees can find epic tequila cocktails including the brand’s signature Dobel Tequila Ace Paloma as well as scrumptious Mexican cuisine from Chef Enrique Olvera.
Dobel’s special guests so far have included Peter Sarsgaard, Garrett Wilson, Kamie Crawford, and more.
Just across the way, other celebs have been spotted including Emily in Paris co-stars and IRL couple Ashley Park and Paul Forman.
They attended the first day of the tournament sporting pieces from Aperol’s first-ever capsule collection. The iconic Italian Aperitivo is back at the U.S. Open for a second year bringing a bright and bubbly orange vibe to tennis fans as an official partner of the Championships.
The U.S. Open continues until Sept. 8. While not everyone can attend in person, you can create your own Grand Slam magic at home today with these incredible cocktail recipes.
Maestro Dobel Ace Paloma
2 oz Maestro Dobel Diamante Cristalino Tequila
0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Top with Grapefruit Soda
Garnish: Black Lava Salt, Dehydrated Grapefruit Slice
Procedure: Pour Maestro Dobel Tequila Diamante Cristalino and squeeze of lime into a tall glass filled with fresh ice and rimmed with black lava salt. Top with Owen’s Rio Red Grapefruit and garnish with a pink grapefruit wedge placed on the mouth of the glass, serve.
The Perfect Serve Aperol Spritz
- Ice Cubes
- 2 parts Aperol
- 3 parts Cinzano Prosecco
- Splash of Soda Water (served from siphon or chilled bottle)
- Slice of orange
- In a balloon glass filled with ice, add 3 parts Cinzano prosecco, followed by 2 parts Aperol, and lastly a splash of soda water.
- Stir gently if needed, and garnish with an orange slice.
